Inauguration and Commencement of the Trans Alley Asphalt Paving and Canal Construction Project in Farouqia Guzar, with a Cost of More Than AFN 3 Million, by the Mayor of Herat and His Accompanying Delegation
The asphalt paving and canal construction project on both sides of Trans Alley, located in Farouqia Guzar of the 12th District of Herat City, was officially inaugurated and commenced by H.E. Al-Haj Mawlawi Hamdullah Nomani, Mayor of Herat, in the presence of the heads of the Mayor’s Office, Monitoring and Evaluation, officials of the 12th District, community elders, Guzar representatives, heads of local development councils, and a number of relevant officials.
The project covers a 440-meter-long and 7-meter-wide road, along with the construction of 360 meters of canals, at a total cost of AFN 3,034,692, funded from the development budget of Herat Municipality. The project is being implemented by the “Omar Saleh” Construction and Road Construction Company.
The project is being implemented with the aim of improving road conditions, facilitating the movement of citizens, better management of surface water, and enhancing urban infrastructure in the area.
Meanwhile, a number of local residents welcomed the commencement of the project, describing it as an effective step toward improving road conditions and their living environment. They expressed hope that upon completion, the existing problems related to transportation and surface water would be resolved and greater facilities would be provided for the residents of the 12th District.
On the other hand, officials of the “Omar Saleh” Construction and Road Construction Company assured that the project would be implemented in accordance with technical standards, the provisions of the contract, and the required quality, and would be completed and handed over for use within the निर्धारित timeframe.
It is worth mentioning that the project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation within four calendar months.
