Opening and Commencement of Asphalt Paving Project on the Southern Road of Herat Grand Mosque

The asphalt paving project for the southern road of the Grand Mosque in Herat City has been officially inaugurated and commenced, covering a length of 220 meters and an average width of 20 meters, at a cost of AFN 4,411,896 from the development budget of Herat Municipality.

The project was inaugurated in the presence of Eng. Mohammad Ayub Saif-ul-Jihad, Director of Technical and Professional Affairs of Herat Municipality; Eng. Mohammad Yar Shahab, Head of Monitoring and Evaluation; Mullah Asadullah Omar, Head of District 2; local elders, community representatives, heads of development councils, and officials from relevant departments.

Municipality officials described the project as an important step toward improving road conditions, facilitating citizens’ movement, and enhancing the urban environment. They also emphasized that the work must be completed in accordance with technical standards and required quality.

Meanwhile, officials of Khalid Seer Construction and Road Construction Company assured that the project would be implemented according to schedule, within the निर्धारित timeframe, and in compliance with the required technical standards and quality.

Residents of District 2 welcomed the commencement of the project, describing it as an effective step toward improving traffic flow and providing better access to the Grand Mosque and surrounding areas.

The project is scheduled to be completed and put into service within two calendar months.
