The second livelihood project for women during the 15th district mission, implemented by Herat Municipality under the National Citizenship Covenant Program, was launched by Mina Naderi, deputy mayor of the municipality.
The project, valued at over 1.34 million afghanis over a three-month period, has been launched to empower women and enable women to produce dairy products through their mission. Three women will be trained and earn a living.
Mina Naderi, deputy mayor of Herat, says the municipality's office is focused on balancing development, urban development, infrastructure development, and gender equality across the fifteen urban areas.
The deputy mayor of Herat expressed hope that by implementing such projects, significant changes would be made by women in society and women would become more empowered in different social and economic spheres.
At the same time, the women of the 15th district mission saw the launch of the project by the Herat municipality and its partner organizations as an important step in the economic and social development of the community.
