Herat Mayor: In order to establish lasting order in the city, there is an urgent need for the reactivation of the Urban Cohesion Commission

Ghulam Hazrat Mushfeq, Mayor of Herat, in a meeting with Dr. Noor Ahmad Heydari, Deputy Governor for Finance and Administration, and Ahmad Karouki, Lawyer of the People's Representative in the Provincial Council, emphasized the resumption of the Urban Cohesion Commission.

The Mayor of Herat considered the activity and responsibility of the relevant departments in the Urban Cohesion Commission in order to establish lasting order in all markets and crowded areas as important and vital, and emphasized that the municipal administration alone does not have the power to control and maintain urban order.
Mr. Mushfeq also stated that the decisions of the previous meetings were not seriously followed up and taken action by the relevant departments, and called the regular meetings of the Urban Cohesion Commission and the follow-up of the instructions and decisions of this commission effective in achieving lasting order.
