Commencement of the Anti-Hoarding Committee in Herat

Following the guidance of the Herat Governor's Office and the emphasis of the Herat Municipal Administration's leadership board, a committee was formed in various parts of the municipality to prevent the increase in the price of raw materials at the market level.

The committee was set up under the chairmanship of Abdul Sami Wafa, head of Herat's municipal government, deputy chairman and members of the advisory board, a representative of the transitional lawyers and a representative of the department's market management department.
"No one has the right to sell expensive raw materials. If they are observed, violators will be dealt with legally," Abdul Sami Wafa, head of Herat's municipal government, told hoarders.

On the committee's first day of operation, several herbal stores that sold raw materials to people at high prices were revoked and their decaquine was banned.
Also, a number of bakeries that did not consider maintaining their hygiene and also had a low bread weight, their bakeries were closed.
Mr. Wafa, the chairman of the committee, called on all businessmen to stop selling expensive products and, if observed, their licenses would be revoked and prosecuted.

Recently, Seyed Abdul Wahid Qatali, the governor of Herat province, met with the staff of the municipality and instructed the officials of this service department to refrain from any efforts in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus and to take care of the people's situation.
