Launching a public insect program and collecting 800,000 cubic meters of waste from Herat city
Abdul Zahir Mokhles, head of technical and sectoral services at Herat's municipal administration, announced the launch of a clean-up public-private partnership program in collaboration with a private clean-up in the city.
The head of the Herat Municipality's Technical and Sectoral Services Department said that with the launch of the Public Works Department, the municipality will collect about 800,000 cubic meters of garbage and transport it out of the city in 42 cars in cooperation with a private cleaner.
It is hoped that with the launch of this program, 15 areas of Herat will be cleared of garbage in the next few days.
