Herat mayor and guild officials stress prevention of hoarding

Ghulam Hazrat Mushfiq, Herat mayor, Abdul Wudd Fazizadeh, head of the guilds' chamber and craftsmen, along with officials from the municipality, monitored the Mendovi and food production plants, and emphasized the prevention of hoarding and overproduction.
The mayor of Herat, in separate meetings with members of the guild room and in attendance at the industrial town factories, condemned the hoarding and the expensive trade, and in this bad situation a number of guilds, businessmen and traders imported flour, wheat, rice and other food. Or produce, call for reasonable prices.
Mr Mushafq also said that importers or producers of flour, wheat, rice and other foodstuffs should fix their sales rates for guilds and craftsmen and make it available to the general public so that no one would offend.
The businessmen, the board, and the guilds and craftsmen continued to ensure that the rate of sale of manufactured and imported goods was fixed and pledged to sell the remaining genus to the citizens at reasonable prices.
