Herat Municipality Administrative Council: "Booths on the north and south roads of the Grand Mosque will be collected if there is no contract"

Ghulam Hazrat Mushfeq, Mayor of Herat, Abdul Rahman Molavizadeh, Deputy Advisory Board, Heads of "Technical and Professional Services", "Municipal Governance" and "Revenues, Accounting and Administrative Affairs" and other officials of the department, regarding the inclusion of exhibitors in the contract process and prevention of abuse The use of exhibitors on the north and south roads of the Herat Grand Mosque was discussed.
Members of the administrative council of the Herat Municipality, emphasizing the need to prevent the abuse of national interests, decided to issue a warning to exhibitors to be included in the contract process and timely payment of booth rent, otherwise their booths will be collected.
In this meeting; Ghulam Hazrat Mushfaq, the mayor of Herat, stated that he had discussed the problem of the pavilions on the north and south roads of the Grand Mosque with the exhibitors several times and that they were not willing to pay the rent. After the destruction of the shops, these people have set up booths in those areas since 2016, but have not paid any products (rent) for the use of that land, and during these years, they have prevented the realization of the revenues of this office.
The mayor of Herat strongly stated that they were taking advantage of this opportunity and abusing national interests.
Abdul Rahman Molavizadeh, Deputy Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Municipal Administration, stated that these people do not consider the joint decisions of the meetings of this office and legal frameworks and are abusing national interests.
Also, the members of the administrative council of the Herat Municipality considered this recklessness and lack of attention to the decisions of this office as unacceptable by these people, and said that this was against the law due to the non-realization of the projected revenues of the Herat Municipality.
