Opening and Commissioning of the Asphalt Paving Project on the Eastern Side of the Main Road, from the Mustofiat to Bagh-e-Morad Intersection, at a Cost of Approximately AFN 4 Million from Herat Municipality’s Development Budget.

The asphalt paving project on the eastern side of the main road, extending from the Mustofiat to Bagh-e-Morad Intersection in District 8 of Herat City, has been completed. The project covers a length of 850 metres and a width of 5 metres, with a total cost of approximately AFN 4 million, funded through Herat Municipality’s development budget.

The project was officially inaugurated and put into operation by Al-Haj Mawlawi Jalaluddin Haqdost, Deputy Mayor of Herat, in the presence of the District 8 Manager and relevant officials, local elders, community representatives, heads of development councils, and a number of residents.

Meanwhile, several residents of District 8 welcomed the completion and inauguration of the project, describing it as a valuable step towards improving transportation conditions and developing urban infrastructure. They expressed hope that the project would help reduce traffic difficulties along this route and facilitate easier access to urban services for citizens.

Furthermore, representatives of Omar Saleh Construction and Road Building Company assured that the project had been completed within the specified timeframe, in accordance with technical standards and with satisfactory quality.

It is worth mentioning that the construction work on this project was completed in just over one month, and the road is now open to the public.
