Inauguration of the Ishaq Sulaiman Stone-Lined Canal Project at a Cost of Approximately AFN 2.5 Million by the Mayor of Herat and His Accompanying Delegation

The Ishaq Sulaiman stone-lined canal project, located in District 13 of Herat City, with a total length of 450 meters and a total cost of AFN 2,392,000, was completed through the development budget of Herat Municipality and officially inaugurated.

The project was officially inaugurated by Al-Haj Mawlawi Hamdullah Nomani, Mayor of Herat, in the presence of Eng. Mohammad Ayub Saif-ul-Jihad, Technical and Professional Director of Herat Municipality; heads of the Mayor’s Office and the Monitoring and Evaluation Department; officials of District 13; community elders; and a number of local residents.

Meanwhile, residents of the Ishaq Sulaiman area in District 13 expressed their satisfaction with the completion and inauguration of the project. They stated that the construction of the canal has addressed problems related to drainage and the accumulation of surface water, particularly during the winter season, and has provided significant improvements for local residents.

It is worth noting that the project was completed and put into operation by Mohammad Kabiri Construction and Road-Building Company within a period of just over one month.
