Inauguration and Commencement of the Concrete Paving Project in Wahabzadeh and Qasr-e Shirin Alleys at a Cost of Approximately AFN 1.5 Million from Herat Municipality’s Development Budget

The concrete paving project in Wahabzadeh and Qasr-e Shirin alleys, located in District 7 of Herat City, was officially inaugurated and commenced. The project covers road sections measuring 155 meters and 180 meters in length, with varying widths of 3, 5, and 7 meters, along with the construction of associated drainage channels. The project is funded by Herat Municipality’s development budget at a total cost of AFN 1,470,000.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Haji Mawlavi Hamdullah Nomani, Mayor of Herat, relevant municipal officials, local elders, community representatives, and heads of local development councils.

Residents of District 7 welcomed the commencement of the project, expressing satisfaction and noting that its implementation would help improve transportation conditions and their living environment.

Herat Municipality officials also emphasized that the project must be implemented in accordance with the technical specifications and established standards.

Meanwhile, the contractor assured that the project would be completed on time and to the required quality standards, in accordance with the contract.

The project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation within three calendar months by Mostaed Sazan Construction and Road-Building Company.
