The construction project for a covered drainage canal along the Mlasian Road to Aborda, located in the 9th District of Herat City, with a total length of 510 meters and a total cost of AFN 2,492,999 from the development budget of Herat Municipality, was officially inaugurated and work commenced by Eng. Mohammad Ayoub Saif-ul-Jihad, Director of Technical and Professional Affairs of Herat Municipality, in the presence of Mullah Gul Ahmad Rahimi, Head of the 9th District, an inspector from the Monitoring and Evaluation Department, community elders, area representatives, heads of development councils, and a number of residents of the 9th District.

Meanwhile, the officials of the "Heri Delta" Construction and Road-Building Company committed to completing and commissioning the project in accordance with technical standards, the provisions of the contract, and the specified timeline, while ensuring the required quality.

Meanwhile, the residents of the 9th District expressed their satisfaction with the commencement of the project, considering its implementation valuable in addressing problems caused by flooding, improving transportation conditions, and enhancing urban services. They also announced their full support for all programs of Herat Municipality aimed at the reconstruction and development of Herat City.

It is worth mentioning that the project is scheduled to be completed and commissioned within four calendar months.
