Herat Municipality Inaugurates Asphalt Paving Project West of Herat University
Herat Municipality has officially inaugurated and commenced the asphalt paving project of the road west of Herat University, located in the fifth municipal district of Herat city, with a total cost of AFN 3,811,141 funded through the Municipality’s development budget.
The project is being implemented as part of Herat Municipality’s efforts to improve the urban road network, facilitate the movement of citizens, reduce dust and improve the overall quality of urban services. The road covers a total length of 505 meters and a width of 7 meters.
The project was officially inaugurated by H.E. Al-Haj Mawlawi Hamdullah Nomani, Mayor of Herat, in the presence of Eng. Mohammad Ayoub Saif-ul-Jihad, Director of Technical and Professional Affairs of Herat Municipality; the Head of the Fifth Municipal District; local elders; community representatives; heads of development councils; residents of the area; and a number of other relevant municipal officials.
The project is being implemented by Bonyad Saz Kohan Construction and Road-Building Company.
Speaking on the occasion, a number of residents of the fifth district welcomed the commencement of the project, describing it as an important step toward improving road conditions, facilitating transportation, and enhancing the quality of life for local residents. They also expressed their appreciation for Herat Municipality’s efforts to develop and improve urban infrastructure.
Meanwhile, officials of Bonyad Saz Kohan Construction and Road-Building Company assured that the project would be implemented in accordance with established technical standards, with good quality and within the specified timeframe.
The project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation within three calendar months.
